The Traitors Season 2 Becomes Peacocks Most-Watched Reality Premiere, Up 75% From Sea

October 2024 · 4 minute read

In its first five days on the platform, “The Traitors” Season 2 has become the most-watched reality series debut on Peacock. The streaming reach is up more than 75% from Season 1, which took home the Emmy Award this year for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.

The first three episodes of the second season, hosted by Alan Cumming, debuted on Jan. 12. Not only did the number of viewers surpass the premiere of the first season, it also topped the platform’s other reality titles, including “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” “Love Island USA,” “Love Island Games” and “Queens Court.”

In the Studio Lambert series, set in an ancient castle in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of missions to win up to $250,000. The “Faithful” cast members have one goal — identify the “Traitors” hidden among them, who are trying to steal the prize money at the end for themselves. Each episode features two departures: the Traitors murder a Faithful and the Faithful vote on who they think is a Traitor, banishing them from the castle. In the end, if the Faithful banish all the Traitors, they’ll split the prize fund; if a Traitor (or Traitors) makes it to the end, they steal it all.
